Mozilla believes that Windows 7.0 is anti-competitive
Mozilla and Opera have claimed that Windows 7.0 default settings help locking the browsers market competition.
According to Mozilla, the upgrade of Windows 7.0 from Windows Vista doesn’t keep the default browser setting and revert it to Internet Explorer. Even though, the custom settings allow the users to keep the default browser, Opera and Mozilla argued that Microsoft is hoping most users won’t be aware of this or that it will be considered too much extra work.
There is already a group of technology companies including IBM, Sun, Oracle and Nokia joined the European Commission’s case against Microsoft for anti-competitive practices.
